I'm looking for something simple, small and light, in the old style of headphone amps, not a DAC, I already have the best DAC in the world which is the Qudelix 5K. This is just to complement the Qudelix, a simple headphone out from whatever I need to use to the amp via a 3.5mm male cable on both ends, and a simple 3.5mm, but I would like to be able to at least have a simple 5 band EQ to at least improve the audio a little bit, not just amplify it, if the source is less than desirable.

Also about as expensive as the Fiio A3, because it won't be my main amp.

Any ideas?

It's so hard to find a good portable amp right now. I used to have the Fiio A5, now I regret selling it.
