Well, that A&K L1000 is definitely a cute device. Nifty design!
They make good equipment. I have their AK240 DAP and it's very decent.
No experience with their speaker amps...

Listening to Lyle Lovett, “Live in Texas,” with the Focal Utopias, V200, and R2R DAC, holy moly, North Dakota is an almost religious experience!

moon audio said the questyle 600i for a little more money is better than the Astell and kern L1000
I would like to hear my lcd-x with some tube amps.
WHEN's the next meet, I'm liking my lcd-x on my mojo but curious as to what they may sould like on different equipment.

I don't know if this would apply to headphones and equipment it's about guitars and it goes;
A father told his children if something happens to me whatever you do don't let your mother sell my guitars for what she thinks they are worth.

That's funny, I've read that about gear before, and it holds true in my house. Though I can't tell my children, I think the Girls would cattle on me!

@pippen99 Has Woo Audio, i think the WA5 headphone/speaker amp. @buke9 has the Kenzie that he loves. I don't know much about tube amps myself.

That’s funny as my wife has bought me two nice guitars so she knows what she payed for them.

Love Woo Audio but the WA7 is not my favorite.

I looked up the wa7, now I realize it is the firefly. They are ok, though the wa5 are much better. I need to spend one time with the kenzie at the next meet.

The WA5 is a killer amp but it's bigger than a breadbasket and ~$5,000.
The best I've ever heard the HD800 sound was on Dan Clark's rig: Yggy + WA5. Sublime!

It was Dan's rig where I spent time with the wa5 and the princess tubes. During that time it inspired me to get the yggy and it solidified that I prefer the sound of my amp over the wa5.

Since this would be for a home system, the size of the amp doesn't matter, besides more effort to bring it to meets.
