thats a very interesting article and sounds almost too good to be true...i can only hope they will invent some sort of medication to repair hearing damage done years ago such as tinnitus, my constant companion...

Good to see progress is being made. Still, 2007 is a long way off. Hopefully, if they have success here, they'll figure out a way to stimulate regeneration, not just prevention.

The article states that the pill works by delivering antioxidants to the inner ear. I wonder whether simply taking supplemental antioxidants (vitamins C and E, selenium, other substances) might help...but even if it did, there's no big budget for researching vitamin benefits to health, because no company has a patent on them.
