According to Sandu/Soundnews, and I fully trust the guy as I often have the same sound impressions/valuation of the DACs. Seems we have the same taste

Where in the video did he say that, can you give the times?According to Sandu/Soundnews, and I fully trust the guy as I often have the same sound impressions/valuation of the DACs. Seems we have the same taste
Not in the video: Go to his site (Soundnews.com) and look/read the reviews of the differents DAC with the notes at the end

I read that review, no mention of him saying what you said? Not in the video: Go to his site (Soundnews.com) and look/read the reviews of the differents DAC with the notes at the end
Make a little effort and give you the time to compare the notes he gave for the Gustards A26/X26, other Topping, Ferrum....

Another positive although limited review:
The question is: Apart from the look/design, is it better as a DAC than the other Topping (D70 octo or D70) or other competitors (Gustard A26, SMSL VMV D2R) ? I have some doubts...
Do not trust this guy.According to Sandu/Soundnews, and I fully trust the guy as I often have the same sound impressions/valuation of the DACs. Seems we have the same taste

That is not a very nice thing to say, it is even an accusation. Let us not go further into detail. Sandu Vitalie has our best interest in mind in his writings:Do not trust this guy.

"...You will find the word “love” in plenty of my articles and that’s because emotions are driving me forward. Some measurements could be important (but not always and not all of them), but if a unit can’t awaken feelings of joy or sadness, then that’s a dead-on-arrival unit for me. Music is a form of art, which can only be discovered with an open heart and wild imagination...."

From my side i've bought two gears following his reviews and both times Sandu was more then accurate in his + and -
Bonus : His written reviews are a pleasure to read

Mainly based on the review of Sandu on Sound news I purchased a DX9, have been using it now for approx. 2 weeks. I am very happy with it, enjoying the music so much, excellent match with my trusted HD800.
