It in many ways is the greatest Penon, and almost goes toe to toe with the Volt. The pure silver LAVRiCABLES Master V4 with regular straight gold plug takes the Resolution to a whole new level. Clarity and Pace get an improvement as well as an increase in Stage. There is also the option from LAVRiCABLES to get the V4 with a sold copper plug which I hear (from Dsnuts) offsets a little of this analytical festival, but I’m fine with the straight gold plug in 4.4mm.I got Penon 10th without any expectations just to try it but it is astonishingly good and can compete toe to toe with my kilo bucks iems.

It is such a coincidence that you’re using the Totem Adapter. I just got done with the LAVRiCABLES Master V4 cable review and in my tests the Penon 10th Anniversary and the Penon Volt were the cat’s meow with the cable in place, yet the 5kHz to 8kHz treble shelf was just slightly too bright with the over the top tuning of the Noble Audio K-10 Encore. The solution was to simply (last night) put the Totem 4.4mm x 4.4mm in front of the cable, after the DAP. With the Sony 1Z now the pure silver cable actually worked, showcasing imaging and pace. I also took the volume down 4 bars out of 110, to align the sound. The WM1A was a no go. Using MrWalkman’s firmware the WM1A was perfect with the Master V4 with the Penon Volt and Penon 10th Anniversary, but was a little too midcentric with the 1A for some reason? But I love that Adapter going and smoothing out the signal, adding heft and stage girth, and basically improving note weight and warmth (almost) 100% of the time.

I almost forgot this.....lol
Where sure the part near 8kHz could in fact be a coupler peak, but really at this point it’s meaningless.

I'm absolutely positive about the "Penon Totem Adapter", sir !
This is something that enters the "Universal Upgrade" category, no doubt about that...

The SQ on the this set up is already next to non so I have to put in a Mullard tube into the Origa to just balance it out and give is a slightly warmer and thicker sound. I had the rare telefunken tube which just sounds crazy and will bring any lower class DAP back up a level when paired with the Origa. (i.e. Rs6). Lots to play with in this set up.I have it , always on the fence about keeping it since I have a full size tube setup I can use when I feel crazy enough to do that, but I have to say the combination of Pico Origa SE, LP6TiAE and your IEM of choice (fantastic with Trailli Ti and Perpetua) is probably one of the most inebriating stacks I have ever tried.
Chilling with my Sunday setup
