I’ve been thinking a bout getting one of the XDP – 30R and just wanted to start a thread of opinions, reviews, discussions etc. that might help me & others decide whether they want to buy this DAP or not. The only thing holding me back at this point is the fact that there is no digital out in case I ever want to hook a DAC up to it. Thanks in advance

I know this is a really old thread but I have a question please.

I am getting a 30R in two days to use as a DSD Transport.

The manual on line says that the "Output DSD" must be in the on position, but the manual doesn't say where it is?

Any help is appreciated.

I have a few questions for you,

Is this support dsd natively? Do you know if the dap is full mqa? How about the battery life? Actualy I have a 300r and the battery is too bad.

It does play native dsd( if understand that). It does play mqa files. Battery is not great but it serves my purposes.

I have no regrets

The questions is because my 300r just convert DSD to PCM, so it not play native DSD, and regarding the MQA some files shows the mqa logo on black and other files on white, so it means that for some frequencies is not compatible.

Dsd files go to my ps audio direct stream as dsd not pcm.

Dont know what to say about mqa...i dont really use it
