Hey, I did a search (

) for PX100 pads and found some threads about where to get the normal black ones, but I couldn't find anything about where to get the yellow pads. Do the yellow 414 pads fit on?

Errr, those yellow pads ARE 414 pads! Cutting a quarter-sized hole to them and using them reversed was a popular mod for older PX100 which was quite dark sounding. With those modded pads they sounded more brighter.

...which leaded quite a lot of people to mod their mod with black dye.

Yup. You are right. I had the Retro Edition PX100 and they did have bright yellow pads.

Oh and one more piece of information:

The Limited Edition Retro PX100 have the 1st generation copper voice coils as opposed to the aluminum coils used in the new ones.

i thought the aluminum in the newer PX100s was better sounding?
SQ wise, what would be best...new PX100s with 1/4 modded 414pads OR these retro edition PX100s with their stock yellow pads.

also can you get the stock PX100 foam pads off and put them back on easily without damaging them?
