Can someone teach me where to go to download the latest upgrade and which version is the latest?
You could contact Clark directly. You find the contact on QLS homepage. I asked myself also where to download the firmwares. But after first contact, Clark send me a package of the essential firmwares. You can ask him directly for wav-1.0.6. I don’t know if they will upload it to some download section on their homepage.

Does this mean I can only play WAV files after updating to this? I use a combination of Flac and MP3 files, does that mean the player won't recognize those files after the update?
Exactly. Wav-only firmware means, that it does only support wav files. It’s up to you, but IMO that firmware is the best choice for superb listening experience. Please check all the reviews out there, before you wonder 3 years after release of QA361 about this. I choose foobar to convert all my tracks before I transfer them.

Has anyone compared this player to Cayin N5ii or iBasso DX160?
Hi Jmop,
Before I bought the QA361 I tried the DX120 and the Shanling M6 (AKM Chips).
Both DAPs can’t reach the level of the QA361.
My focus was on neutrality and maximum soundstage. You can translate my german review on Amazon.

Hope this will help your decision. Still in love with the QA361. Meanwhile also with a Neumann NDH-20 modified to balanced connection.

I'm currently selling a DX120 and your feedback is much appreciated. I agree that the DX120 doesn't emphasize soundstage, it's fine, but not noticeably a standout. Would you say the QA361 is warmer sounding than the DX120? I'm more interested in a softer sound but just as detailed, and I believe I may find this in the Cayin N5ii/S or DX160.

Would also like to see a comparison of QA361 and Colorfly U6.
All these players cannot achieve the sound of QLS 361. I even compared the QLS 361 with the P6 and I can't say that the Luxury Precision P6 is much better, but with large headphones the power is much higher in the 361 and the sound is more confident.

I noticed that in wav version 1.0.6 when I play files at a quality of 192khz / 24 the player gets stuck and fails to play them properly but slowly like a very stuck disc,
Also in the normal version (not wav) when I play files that are rip from cd there is the same problem
Has anyone encountered this?
what can we do?
