Is R10 noisy w/ your amp? Compared with the noise floor of Senn HD600?

Before I go all out to find a R10, the thing concerns me most is its high sensitivity and low impedance. This combo along w/ some negative-feedback design amps like Cary SEI would make noise floor quite high compared w/ Sennheiser HD600. I have similar experience w/ Grado RS-1 mated w/ RKV. Now I stuck w/ HD600, a very good cans but I simply LOVE Grado except the high noise floor which is unacceptable since my main menu is classical.

Although I suspect Grado WILL be noisy with Cary, anyone has luck w/ a quiet combo?

Unfortunately, hiss is a bit of a problem when using the R10s with the RKV. I can ignore it myself because my music will pretty much cover over the hiss, but I could see where it'll be a problem if you listen to classical. On the other hand, hiss isn't a problem at all when the R10s are mated with a solid state amp...but then they're hardly sounding their best.
