I agree the Tl-1b serves the purpose well

Are you serious?
I'm pretty sure he is, and he has a point.

There are black sleeves with Gold/silver tracers out there, just like the current cables have Red tracers.
I think black cable with gold/silver tracers would be a perfect fit for Immanis/Magna.

For Instance like Norne Audio offers them

The "Single metallic tracer" variants would be my favourite here.

Since the cups use Walnut veneer I'd love a Walnut wood splitter, but that's probably pushing it 😅

I’m likely an outlier but I wish they made the TI-1a still. Amp connector on the back works well with speaker taps.

Hi @Aleksandar R. , will there be an option to simply get the current drive interface in a small brick format? I don't love the aesthetics of the stand, and likely wouldn't use it even if I did. Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere in the thread.
We have only the exact number of brick TI's to match the number of SR's currently in stock.
I don't know when or if I'll make another batch of those.

Anyhow, the stem unscrews from the case, so this one also can be tucked next to the amp, but using less space.

Got it. So is the idea that future SR purchasers will get one of the new headphone stand interfaces that the Immanis and Magna use, or that you're going to discontinue the SR so there won't be any need for the interface bricks?

Yeah, I love the brick form factor of the TI-1b, I'll be keeping that for my Magna/Immanis.
It's so solidly built, a flat rectangle fits better on a desk/shelf/entertainment stand, and it transports well, just throw it in a backpack.
Every solution has it's merits.
Since the transformer-headphone cable-headphone has to be a system with fixed parameters, we can't change the length of the headphone cable.
So, if you want to listen 5m (15 ft) away from the amp, with the new Interface/Stand, you just use a long amp-to-interface cable, while carrying the Int/Stand to the listening position.
With brick-TI, you would also need to carry a separate stand, so both things are practical in their own way, just there is more variety of purpose for the new interface, though easy carry in a backpack is not one of them.

No, the SR's are covered with the brick-TI. No need to buy the new stand with SR's.

But if you want to buy an Interface separately, you can only get the new one as a separate item.

The new one also has the amp input on the back, but using a lot less space. Unscrew the stand part and it's quite small and easier to place than TI-1a.

Hey Alex, I'm just wanting to echo what I've seen a few people on here say because I feel the same way. The cable for Immanis just doesn't seem to match it aesthetically. Is it possible to get it with a different sleeving? In my opinion a plain black sleeve would be fine or maybe something with gold/brown stitched in would complement the grill nicely.
Yep, you're right about that.

The new STAR-8 MkII will still be in one single sleeve, with one white/silver stripe (like sleeve #10 in ThanatosVI's post above).
The Y-split is going to be a simple Black anodized Alu sleeve, 60mm long, 12mm in dia., with Cork caps at both ends and laser engraving of Logo and cable name.

The new Satis cable for Magna, will have the same sleeve, same Y-split sleeve with different engraving, but the part between Y-split and headphone connectors, will have one red spiral, suggesting it's Copper not Silver.

Input cables will also have one white/Silver spiral, matching both headphone cables.

The parts arrived on Friday, engraving scheduled for Tuesday, so photos on Wednesday.

I hadn’t thought about the ability to remove the stand. Certainly makes the new interface appealing.

Yes, there will be a nice screw down cap for the open hole where the stand used to be, so it will be very nice without the stand.

I have to say this,
THANK YOU everyone for the support, ideas and patience!

New needs arise, new options are emerging, new ideas popping out and we're adapting as we go along!
We have to cover those ideas with parts, physical bits and pieces, that will round up the set into a nice experience for us, the users (I am, too!)

It wasn't easy to pioneer the new technology in headphones, and solutions were emerging as we went along.
There was a resistor Interface that needed a 100W amp, then direct drive Jotunheim R, a brainchild of Jason from Schiit, then HSA, VM, then Transformer Interface...

That latest Magna and Immanis with RCD Interface/Stand sums up the goal of using the least amount of power to drive ribbon headphones, without wasting footprint on things we need to put on our tables.

Some solutions will surely not be for everyone's taste but I'll try my best to make the best compromise and incorporate the most of the best ideas into a product.

I'm sure that the future is bright for what we do, as long as I keep listening!

Thanks,

Alex

Just to be clear - it is possible to order the Immanis without the new interface and instead use it with the TI-1b which many of us already own- and the difference is just in form factor and not in sound?
