I've thought about it, but it costs a big $750 now (or very close). Not to mention when I emailed the multiple times asking what they actually do to the unit, they just say "we mod it in every way we know how". They never once gave me specifics.

I'm just weary of dumping that much money on such a cheap unit without some sort of specifics.

Bummer. I got so excited I didn't get a chance to look at that.

Edit: Just got the warranty plan as well. My first phone call wasn't so succesful due to an uneducated sales person and his supervisor but I was able to get it w/o a hitch on the second phone call.

Just visited my local Sony Outlet store in So Cal. The outlet price is $39.95 plus tax. I had to buy one for this price!
