There is big news in the NAIM world today as much of the HiFi industry prepares for Munich High End. I wonder if @Jason Stoddard would ever be interested in going to Munich for that? Or perhaps already has?

Anyway, today NAIM announced its 300 series of products:
  • NSS 333 streamer for $11,000.
  • NAC 332 pre-amp for $11,000.
  • NAP 350 monoblock amp: $17,000 per pair.
  • NPX 300 power supply: $9,000 (would lift the performance of each the streamer and pre-amp, so most NAIM fans would buy two in this case)
So a full 300 series setup would run in total $57,000 for six boxes, minus exotic cables, audio rack, etc.

I will PayPal anyone $200 who does a fair and honest review comparing NAIM NAC 332 + 2x NAP 350 versus Schiit Freya S + 2x Tyr. Can $3800 of Schiit hold a candle at all to $57K of NAIM?

Pictures of the NAP 350:

Nope, nope, nope, and definitely nope. I appreciate the suggestions. I've been wracking my brain and poring over my YouTube history, but I may have watched embedded links. I'll find his name now that it's really bugging me.
"I'm trying to find the name of the modern jazz drummer who plays and sounds like a drum machine".

It's a bit of a stretch to suggest him as a modern jazz drummer, but the great Jaki Liebezeit of Can had the drum like a machine part nailed. Was it him?

Now I'm curious as to what your top ten drummer list would be...... And top ten drummer composition list....
That's such a loaded question! LOL If I pick drummers without regard to genre...just ones I aspire to or that have influenced me the most. Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Nicko McBrain, Mick Fleetwood, Mike Portney, Ian Paice, Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Steve Smith. I'd add Jeff Porcaro too, but then that's more than 10. Alex Van Halen influenced me alot, but I wouldn't put him in my top 25 "best". Compositions? that would take more thinking than I want to right now. But one of my favorite songs for drums is "The Enemy Within" from Rush. "Achilles Last Stand" by Zeppelin is a good drum song too.

Nope, but he is good! I'll have to re-think my search terms. This is starting to drive me crazy! 🤪

The best drummer on the planet right now, IMO, is Brian Blade.
Indeed ... I particularly enjoyed his performance on the two live Trilogy albums with the late Chick Corea

New topic (I think) for the sine wave.

Now that I have my schiit kit, I want to feed my Modius E from my iPad.
Using a standard cable works fine with the iPad->Apple Camera Adaptor->USB-A-cable-USB-C->Modius.
The problem is that the longest known working cable I can find that says it works with Apple kit is 2m/6ft and I'd like 3-4m/9-12ft.
If I can get a longer cable then I can route it out of sight under the furniture and also keep it away from mains/other cables, and I don't have to get up to select or search for the next track on the iPad.

There's any number of vendors on Mr. Bezos's site, but the long cables don't mention Apple in the "works with..." section.
Does anyone have a long, known working cable connecting their iPad/iPhone and the USB-C on Modius / other Schiit device that they can recommend?

Me, too. Here's a sample for review and consideration ... a song by Thelonious Monk.
