IMO, space contraints also implies placement constraints, so the ability to tweak the phase/timing relative to the mains is worth having. Also, owned 2 much older KEF subs (PSW series 8" & 10" models that had cheap internal amplifier construction / poor reliability if left on "standby" 24-7).
Thank you. It sounds like for what I need (small footprint, phase adjustment) the 3000 micro is the best fit.

Continuing to look into these, based on current space constraints, I think I'm down to the SVS 3000 Micro and the KEF KC62. All the head to heads make me think I want the KEF but the ability to control phase/timing through the SVS app really make me concerned about not being able to tweak the KEF if it is off a bit. Outside of getting a minidsp or something anyways. Overthinking it?
I’m sure both options would work for you. I ended up with the KEF KC62 and love it. I use it with the KEF LS50 Metas and my Magnepan LRSs. I’ve had subs from Paradigm, REL, and now the KEF. Once I get a sub set up I rarely touch the settings but I can’t deny the app option might be fun. Enjoy the journey!

So it's not just the head-fi forum...

I like espresso straight up, unsweetened, without milk or any dilution, and piping hot. My wife likes iced mocha lattes with whipped cream. They are both coffee at their root.

Audio preferences and perceptions are much the same. A "repeatable" experience for one person might be completely meaningless or distasteful or not even noticeable to someone else. Viva la difference.
I drink my coffee the same. But never with listening to music, doesn't make the sound better for me ... wine and beer though .... :beerchug:

Latest iterateration. Switched back to the rpi 4 to compare w the pi 5. With the pi 4 at least the modules included w the kernel just work, but I'm still not convinced it sounds as good as w the pi 5.

More iterations to come 🙂
That looks like something from Dr Who circa 1973 , Jon Pertwee era !!!

Kaija Saariaho is contemporary classical music indeed, very much so.

Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter however belong to what is called neoclassical. Although written for essentially the same classical music instruments and ensembles, contemporary classical and neoclassical are not the same.
I never bothered about genres, if I like the tunes it will be played :L3000:
Nice stuff from pianist that I play a lot recently: Joep Beving and Oskar Schuster

Fully agree! I listened to two of her albums yesterday and fell in love. That's what the best music can do ... :)

I discover her at Youtube, a video that the DR Big Band welcomes her at the airport.

Another one I like is a Latvian accordionist, Ksenija Sidorova.
