Thanks for that recommendation! Love it!To all my forum-mates who enjoy Bowie, I would recommend Seu Jorge's covers of Bowie. He is a Brazilian acoustic guitarist who did a few Bowie covers for the Bill Murray movie "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou", then did a whole album. It is really enjoyable. I have seen him live too, its a good show.
P.S. Only listen if you are in the mood to chill, because his vibe is super-chill. Happy listening.
Well, butter my butt and call me biscuit, that's actually a decent album!Weather sucks here (T-storms and rain), so I thought I'd throw up a day Jazz recommendation in case others are homebound today.
Never heard of them before, but it is quite enjoyable. Get Down and Get Funky!!! (I may take it down a notch for tonight.)
Then I better don’t tell you that I’m actually, no kidding, seriously using speaker cables of widely varying lengths. The right speaker sits right next to my rack, the left speaker is about ten feet to the left. And so I’m using a three foot cable for the right speaker and a twelve footer for the left.
Works just fine.
(The new place’s layout will be different, allowing for equal-length cables. But while my current room situation is perfect for symmetry, the new room will suck. A wall at one side and the open kitchen to the other. That actually bothers me to no end. It’s the only thing that I don’t like about the new place. But something’s gotta give. At least I can keep all the closet space just for myself. )

Well ohms per 1000 feet of 18 awg can be 5.75. 16 awg about 4 ohms, 14 awg 2.5 ohms, 12 awg about 1.6, 10 awg about .99 ohms. Yes you can calculate it but have fun measuring 12 feet compared to 25 feet.Thats the same principle to calculate the length of a cable roll if you know the spec. (ohms per a certain length) of that cable by measuring the resistance of it, but it is about a rather long cable.
