Appreciate it, Tom. I intend to make cables for my Schiit stack in the rack that bcowen gifted me with. It will give me something to do at the bench, as I just got home from the ER at the hospital. I should get some sort of frequent flyer miles at that place.

Heal well!

Ah, so you were an Evans Hall inhabitant! :)
No, I did this work in Edinburgh, where we had a fairly direct connection to UCB through informal channels, and then at SRI and at a long-gone Bay Area startup.

I just received a GE 5670W from @sam6550a as well as two tubes touted as being Bendix but the jury is still out on those. More Vali 3 listening soon, once Finnegan and I plant various herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. A lady botanist just loaded me up with various types including blue tomatoes which are supposed to be very healthy.šŸ¤Ŗ

Two tubes I received are not Bendix, so lesson learned. I have the opportunity to send them back but one is at least a GE and sounds similar to a five star or a Jan 5670W. The other is a CBS 2C51, both have different structures than the Bendix.
Blue tomatoes? That's just so.....not right. What's next? Red bananas and orange avocados? šŸ¤£

They have been around since 2012 but they may not have caught up to you by now. Hang around with me and you might learn something. :beerchug:

This would require recalibration of the eye / taste bud interface. I'm too old for that as all the adjustment screws and pots are probably rusted together. šŸ¤£

We could squirt some Deoxit into your-----oh, never mind it.
Similar health properties as blueberries. Called Helsing Junction Blues, sounds like an album title. šŸ¤Ŗ

So anyway I am kicking back and listening to some Art Pepper on the Vali 3 and giving @Orange5o cables a listen via WiiM.

My first 'portable' was the size of a sewing machine and had a 300 baud modem. Pager goes off in the middle of the night, set up the portable, phone in coupler, dial up. Enter user id and password, watch 80 x24 paint, watch the next screen paint, log out, phone back on wall, drive 30 minutes to data center to triage. I can semaphore flag faster than 300 baud.

I remember getting giddy when I discovered my IBM 50 or 60? had an 8 MB D: drive since DOS only supported 32MB partitions

386 memory managers, loading drivers into hi mem

Good times, not missed at all

It still boggles my mind that Windows still does not have a 2-pane file explorer, those existed in DOS days. First app on a new pc is Altap Salamander - https://www.altap.cz/salamander/downloads/ , second app is SlickRun - https://bayden.com/slickrun/
