The Midgard is Schiit's fully-discrete replacement for the (by Jason's own words) very forgettable op-amp based Magnius. It also has a pretty cool trick up its sleeve with its Halo topology circuit, but it's only active from its XLR4 output.

Price is $219.00

I'm really curious to find out how you feel the Midgard compares to your Magnius. Please let us know!

I'm curious which direction this amp is going.

For example it says it measure really well, so is it meant to sound like Magni Heretic? So if I want something more in the tubey direction like Magni Piety, should I skip this?

Then there's the Halo thing which I actually have no clue what it does yet, I guess I'll wait for more impressions lol.

Hopefully someone can do an Asgard vs Midgard comparison.

Alright here's my first impression: Schiit has once again created a product I don't need but am having irrational thoughts on how I could justify it, simply because I want to try it.

Proper reviews are ones that start with "Dear Sirs and Madams" and end in "Sincerely yours".
