With or without volume cap?
AFAIK there's no volume cap or high gain volume on A306 the high gain started on zx707 onward. But FWIW my A306 has no highgain.
what ear tips are you using there if I may ask?
It is Azla SednaEarfit Max Standard

I am using the A306 often with IE900, not a fair pairing, but the A306 holds up well with IE900. Great portability, and to listen on bed to fall asleep with it cant be beaten.
Battery on A306 last well... as long as you don't stream with it. I normally just download the song or album to SD card then listen to it.
Got Apple Music, Tidal, Qobuz and Roon on it.

Hope it helps.
Do you put the foam from the Sennheiser tips on those?

Picked up the IE900 on sale in Oz. Less than a 1000 dollarydoos. Will be a good compliment to the IE600.

Pairing it with the Ifi Gryphon, Ak Kann and Shanling M6. Using Dunu Vulkan tips.

Hi all,

How do the IE900 fare with a stationary DAC/amp that’s designed (volume control, buffer stage, etc.) for over-ear headphones? I have an Audio Analogue AAdac that I use with my Audeze MM-500. Thinking if the IE900 could be a complement. But my guess is that they’re best with a high-quality portable device or a desktop solution.

Not familiar with that DAC but I use my iems and over ears with same DAC/Amps all the time. Some Amps don’t have a low enough noise floor, but most I’ve used in last two years have been great with both.

Side note, can anyone recommend?

Looking for a “Sennheiser MMCX” compatible cable with con-X style swappable amplifier end terminations (for ie600 and ie900 both ideally). Any recommendations here that don’t exceed the retail cost of IE600?

I don't quite understand what you meant by the Sennheiser foam tip, but here it is the pic of the Azla SednaEarfit Max Standard.

The coreir eartips are mighty fine with the IE900. And yes, it's drivable by most of the stuff nowadays.

There’s a piece of foam inside the Sennheiser tips to block debris. Did you move it to the new Azla tips you’re using?

Anyone know where to get any of the stock IE tips from Sennheiser? Seems like they’re out every where and have been for months.

I really hope Sennheiser brings their custom ear tip solution here to America because fit for these things is still a problem while keeping the sound profile the same. :|
