Sennheisher has announced the IE 8 with iPhone controls, called the IE 8i.

From the look of it, with a simple cable swap, the iPhone cable should be compatible with the current IE8.

I was wondering how long it would take before they made a cable with phone control.
 
edit: With an additional $100 in price? Dang, much more than I expected. UE offers the TF10s with the controls for an additional $20 IIRC.

UE makes a cable with a single button and a mic. The single button does next and previous and play/pause, but it doesn't do volume.
 
It's ridiculous that no one has made a replacement cable that has a mic and three buttons for the iPhone and iPod. I've been searching for a while.

I just checked, and I guess it doesn't have volume control. Regardless, I feel like $100 is asking a bit much.

I also second the thought that $100 is way too much for a simple convenience.

Got the cable from another user who purchased it from Custom Cable, love it don't touch my iPhone's controls anymore, working with my iPad too, both skipping and volume controls. Very convenient!
