Wish you would of went a single 4499 over the dual 4497.

Ooh that’s a decent increase in power compared to the M6. That matters to me more than the chip used. Though if there was an improvement in SQ, I’d be fine with that too. Same physical size?

Now I wait to see what the battery specs are. Haha. Though I JUST got an M6 so I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon...

Amplifier circuit in M6 Pro is completely different, so you can expect improvement in SQ, not just in power.

Apart from Audio circuit and back panel, everything else is same as standard M6. So same size, same battery.

First testing on battery shows around 8 hours when run all balanced, or up to 13 hours when run on single-ended and single DAC chip.

It's just marketing.
Normal M6 isn't so new anymore , so to be in the spotlight again and easily , they just change things like DAC ship or Amp , and hop : Pro version at minimal cost and bigger benefit.

Well, yes, I'm aware of that. I'd have more respect if they called it M6 Mk II. That's clear and obvious but PRO means nothing, it's just gimmicky. Professional Music people don't walk around with PRO players.

There will be new design of case coming alongside M6 Pro.

Well, yes, I'm aware of that. I'd have more respect if they called it M6 Mk II. That's clear and obvious but PRO means nothing, it's just gimmicky. Professional Music people don't walk around with PRO players.

Mk2 would imply it's new generation that's replacing M6, which is not case. Both versions will be sold alongside.
"Pro" naming is now common among electronics, simply implying it's higher version of standard model.
