BTW, can anyone tell me where the fuse is hidden. I have to admit I only briefly glanced through its internals when I opened the SU1 but i did not see one.

I have developed annoying background hiss somewhere in my chain that is hard to diagnose. I am considering trying to reduce USB noise from the PC by adding an iFi iSilencer between PC USB out and SU-1 USB in. My question is whether the SU-1 itself would be expected to reduce USB noise from the PC input before data signal is output I2S to my DAC, in which case iDefender before the SU-1 is redundant. Alternatively, if the SU-1 does jitter reduction, reclocking etc... but nothing to reduce USB bus noise originating from the PC, iSilencer may be worth a try.
Thanks @Baten. Is that "something" reduce noise or improvements related to other aspects of sound quality?

Thanks. I DID try iGalvanic and it did not impact the specific issue I am currently having, so galvanic isolation solutions don't seem applicable. That Intona device is a galvanic isolator that also reduces noise, but does so differently (by galvanically isolating the USB line) than our iSilencer.

Thank you, but I am confused. U thought that iGalvanic also broke ground loops, and in my instance there was no impact. So if my issue is a noisy PC / USB bus, which of the products do you recommend: iSilencer, iPurifier or iDefender. I really don't need reclock as I have a DDC and high quality DAC, but remain a bit uncertain as the 3 products I've mentioned seem to overlap a bit and I don't want multiple extra products in my chain unless there is a clear and specific expected benefit for an identified issue..Understood. Perhaps you have a ground loop somewhere. If your USB line has this issue, our iDefender3.0 was designed to target it, and works well with iSilencer3.0.

Maybe it’s time to iSimplify your product line as it comes across confusing at present stage imho.
