Does anyone know if the Sony 610 series can adequately drive the HD595s. Or should I just start researching amps right away? (I have this hp coming to me.)

I thought that with a 50 ohm rating (hell, my KSC75 are 60 ohm) the 595s would be easy to drive, but everything I've been reading would lead me to conclude they really need an external amp to shine.

So if any Sony and 595 owners can chime in with their experience, I would really appreciate it.

I can answer my own question now, as my 595s arrived (Priority Mail) today, a lot sooner than I thought they would.

Yes, the Sony can drive them OK, and it gets louder easier than my SR60s do. I guess I need to burn them in now. It appears I'm going to need an amp to drive them to their full potential, though.
