 I noticed upon taking the Edition 8 out today that the ear cups swivel made a strange creeky noise on both sides.  I have spent such little time with my Edition 8 that I may have noticed it before.  It's worth mentioning maybe that this is the Ed8 Limited Edition.
 
Anyone else notice this on their pair?

Oil?
 
It is a metal hinge so oil is needed after some time. I think any all purpose oil will do. NO WD40, it's not a lube, it's a cleaner
 
When I heard them, I didn't hear any creak. I've heard Audio Technica's have the same problem though.

I contacted Ultrasone regarding this and they said they had never heard of this issue, so is it less than common?
 
To be honest, I probably have less than 20 hours of use on this pair even though they are about 10 months old and for most of their history, have been stored in the LE box.

Its the little black sticker tab that's providing cushion to the hinge. Its at the top of the earcup. It rubs against the surface of the earcup at the hinge. Annoying as hell!!!
