If it's made in Japan, by Japanese, following Japanese standards, I see no reason for not paying double the price.

Haha! Yes, exactly!

The build quality on my MH334 customs is very nice, everything from the snap in pins(Sennheisser HD650 pin type) to the Oyaide terminated plug, the shell has no imperfections, it is a work of art. They also use solid silver core wiring for the crossovers and stranded silver for a part of the cables. There is even a small notch at the bottom part of the housing to make it easier to pop em out of your ear, typical Japanese style, always paying attention to detail

Nice job. I'm guessing you send your impressions through your "broker"/proxy there.

I had a listen to the MH335DW and had a quick chat to the FitEar chaps at the Headphone Show. The MH335DW is pretty much the same as the 334 and the DW doesn't actually extend the bass (or if it does, not that much) but it does tighten it more than the TG!334. The issue was the price as it was double of the TG!334 (on that day at least, since the TG!334 was on special on that day).

Didn't try the C435 nor the Canal Works CW-L51.

Awesome, thanks for the brief impressions. Hmm... tighter bass than the TG 334? Not sure that's what I want to go for necessarily, as I find the bass on the TG 334 pretty tight already.

To be honest, I'm more interested in the C435, as it seems to be the least talked about and most mysterious in the consumer range. The new Canal Works looks pretty crazy too with it's external resistor!

Post a pix. If ugly it doesn't matter how it sounds.

I feel like I'm in Bizarro World.

Yeah, there's not much info at all about it on head-fi. I don't even recall seeing it listed on FitEar's website last time I checked. Which is weird as it was the top model in their consumer range before the MH335DW was announced.

There's been more pix of the MH335DW in Fuijya's Facebook page :-

These are the demo models (presumably same ones they had at the Fujiya Headphone show).

Looking at the distortion numbers from here it would appear that the extra driver is likely good for something useful and not just a marketing gimmick.

Below about 300hz the THD is worse than the single driver ER-4S but it's still not exactly poor.  You can see the impulse response there too.  It's amazingly coherent for a multi-driver setup.  It looks like they've done a nice job of balancing tradeoffs to get just the sound they're looking for.

Who did you call!? FitEar in Ginza, Tokyo? Nope, I'd doubt if the staff can speak much English (maybe only 1 or 2). AFAIK, the MH335DW is Japan only. There may be one exception by a business in Indonesia. PM mokobigbro in Head-Fi and ask him about the MH335DW in Indonesia.

That's not really true. The curves are fooling your eye. At 20hz the ER4 and 334 distortions are both betweem 40db and 45db down. 335 is 10 db better at 1Khz.

Looks like business has been good for FitEar; for the 335DW, they're now sporting proprietary-spec drivers with custom-branded stamps on their drivers and an internally damped high driver = higher cost drivers.

It could also mean that they're ordering drivers at much higher volumes than before, especially now that they're in the universal business. The TO GO! 334, MH334, and MH335DW all share the same drivers (the 335DW just has one more CI), so it looks like they're getting some benefits from the manufacturers.

Hey does anyone out there know about Fitear's C435? There is a used pair for sale on the e earphone site for 65,000 yen. That is over half off the regular price. I may go over and talk to them about it. But do not know much about this model. Any help would be appreciate.
