I just got my stack in today. I really like that they included a relay volume system in the L70. I find this stack is warmer sounding than the SMSL SU9/SP400 stack I use for all my reviews but I think this is still very close on first listen. I still have issue with the weird setup Topping uses for its settings(have to hold the volume button down while turning the unit on from the back) but overall a better experience than the E/L-50 and it even uses a normal set of PC power cables!!

Any idea how this stack compares to the Topping A+D 30 pro?
More specifically, looking for the difference between D30 Pro and E70. I'm thinking about returning my D30 pro for the E70.

E70, first time using Topping DAC. Haven't used ESS DAC since 2013, then it was sharp and not enjoyable.

E70 is just sounds good, might prefer it to the AK chip in my Questyle.

E70 uses 9028Pro chip from ESS. I wonder how it compares to E50, or even the 9038Pro... I guess all three are quite comparable..
From the ESS chip papers, its not much difference in the 9038pro and the 9028pro.

I’ve been doing my best at a/b testing the SU-9(9038pro) and the E70(9028pro) and while it’s hard to go back and forth with DACs, I think the E70 is a warmer sounding DAC. While I appreciate the added color for personal listening, the SU-9 will continue to be the DAC I use for reviewing due to the transparency it provides. I have been using this new stack for personal listening alot since I’ve had it though and I expect this stack will rate high when I get around to writing the review.

I was keen in buying this combo over the 11.11 sales, but the set wasnt really discounted due to being new release.

Ended up buying a Fiio K7 at a great price to get me into my first headphone amp market. So far loving that with my hifiman anandas. Will be watching for more reviews on this topping pair though. I like the specs.

Depends on what you like. I returned the SU-9 SMSL DAC because the 9038 dac chip was just too much for me. The Cirrus Logic (Wolfson) DAC chips in the D30Pro are just right, smooth, and not in your face like an ESS chip DAC does. I'd be leary about any DAC with an ESS chip in it if you like the D30Pro.

It’s so hard to make a decision in these Topping models. Too many models and similar options to keep it straight in my head. I think I’m leaning L70 or A90D. Can’t decide.

I want to buy one to control my headphones and my monitor speakers, who have XLR in. I could do that with an L30ii. Is the L70 worth the upgrade? I also have a Meze Advar with 4,4mm Xinhs cable, which I could plug into the L70 but not the L30ii. Here in Europe, it's €150 vs €400.
