Hi all, I'm considering upgrading from my Vmoda M-80's on ear headphones to some closed back over ears. I find the on ears squish my glasses to my face a little too hard which make them very uncomfortable over long periods of time. My immediate first thoughts are to grab a pair of Vmoda M-100's with XL pads, since the M-80's have treated me quite well over the last 3 years. My question is this, is going from the M-80's to the M-100's truly an upgrade, or is it more of a "side grade". I have read a number of comparison reviews that say they have a very similar sound signature but the M-100's have much more bass. I quite like bass so this isn't a deal breaker for me at all, and in fact I am looking for something that can give me a bit more punch with the electronic music I listen to.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I was also considering DT770's, but that would require me to use an amp with my phone and its nice to have to possibility of portability.
