My brother sent me this image yesterday. We went to this concert fifty years ago yesterday. He was thirteen, and I was sixteen.
I don 't think that Queen's first album was out yet. The highlights for me were Aerosmith's version of "Train Kept A-Rollin',"
and Mott The Hoople's version of "Sweet Jane." Check-out the ticket prices. Ah, memories...

Just now pulling out of it, after late last nights celebrations for the Boston Celtics 34 point blowout series winning game 5:tada: - and afterparty for TUX needing my wingman services - strange bird who sets his standards unattainably high in my opinion, trying to impress me with his being a perfect heavy specimen Emperor Penguin with an IT degree - Pfft... Just another nerd if you ask the ladies I talked to :xf_rolleyes: plus he dances round in circles in one direction due to that bad fin 🤷‍♀️ So no dice...

Great live show with in concert SQ to match - one of my favorite T-shirts along with "Get Your Wings" worn until holes and tears made them useless - ya know, sportin'

Wow Doug, that is so very cool indeed!!! Just super !
And the prices as you say, remarkably affordable , like 3 hours work at slightly over minimum wage for teenagers at the time.

^ Going through most of their discography (many albums which are new to me); they are best known for the hit "Breakout" which I've loved since I was a kid.
I have 7 of their albums also including that one (their first). They're a great group. Love Corinne Drewery's vocals. The last album I have by them is Beautiful Mess (2008). Also a good album.

I have all those and more, but my favorite will always be Man-Child. Was my first "jazz album" and it was given to me as a gift for my 18th birthday. They used to play The Traitor a lot on the radio which I absolutely loved so it was a request gift. I love everything on that album.

Just listened to side 2 of 'Crossings' last night....
I listened to Crossing some months back as I was considering whether to get it or not, but I couldn't get into that one. Will have to give it another listen. Anyway all this Herbie Hancock talk has got me listening to Death Wish (1974) soundtrack...

Favs on that are Death Wish (Main Title), Joanna's Theme, and Fill Your Hand. This is hi-res 24bit/96kHz download.
