Hi guys
Im sorta new here, but looking to get a new set of cans - JVC RX700 or Audio Technica's AD700.
But at the same time, i will need to upgrade my onboard sound card. I am running an ok motherboard Gigabyte X58-UD3R with decent onboard.
I am looking at the Xonar D2X or Essence STX for gaming/music/movie on my PC, and was wondering what other options do I have..? Do i need to get a dedicated sound card or can I go for a DAC/Amp route like FIIO E5 ? Would prefer budget around $150-200 brand new or second hand.
Please let me know what options I have
PS: I also have a set of Logitech Z5500 speakers at home if that helps.
