I'm seeing a few others arrived today, so figured I should share mine as well. First stabilized pair and I couldn't be happier. They're gorgeous and they sound even better!!!! The new cable pairs perfectly.
A gorgeous headphone like that needs a glamorous cable. Great match-up!

Time to shop 6SL7 tubes.....

You can get some nice pairs in the $50-75 range, but for the most sought after, you're looking at $200+ a pair (e.g., Tung-Sol 6SU7GTY, RCA 5691, Mullard ECC35). You definitely don't need to go all the way to the top for great sound though!

There are still deals to be had, though. I don't think I've paid over $100 for any of the 5691 pairs I have.

Can I use 6V6 in place of 6SL7 location to test it out?

You can use 6V6 outputs, but not inputs. This amp has an unusual topology that requires a high gain input tube in the input stage (6SL7). There are a few others options with adapters, but for the most part 6SL7 is the go to input tube. There is much, much more variety in terms of rectifiers and output tubes however.

Thanks. I guess I have to shop around for 6SL7 type....

Already got KT88, EL34, 247B, 5AR4 around...to test it.

Can I use 6SN7 or that is for Pre Amp section only?

Wow, you've got a pretty good starter pack! No 6SN7 I'm afraid.
