That’s Raphael
One of the most beautiful cables I’ve seen and really matches the gold brick! And quite affordable! I may have to try one! Do you like it as much as the more expensive ones?

I like warm and smooth sound and I get it from Raphael. Unfortunately I never tried any expensive IEM cable. Code 23 was other one I had earlier but it was thick and heavy and broke the the 2 pin connector of my IEM so I sold it off at loss and have decided to never use any heavy cable ever for IEM. Raphael is light and comfortable and sounds good as well.

Well its only about 4.2 inches of the material. Just enough to make a difference. No need for longer one either 10cm version will be fine. It comes up to be about 4.2inches in length. It actually comes with the purple plugs which is the palladium plated copper plug. Thats the one you want to go with anyway. I had a few guys mention they got the thing on order. Believe me it will surprise you with just how much of a difference this material makes. It enhances everything about the PB5.

You will especially notice when you go back to the stock interconnect that Ibasso provided. Which is not a bad interconnect but its a standard cable vs what that Totem represents. If you guys want an upgrade on your PB5 without spending a lot to do so. I can't recommend an easier way to do it. Get that 10cm version. Another reason why the 10cm version is a bit better is that the longer 20cm version might color the PB5 just a bit too much. 10cm is just right. I much prefer the 10mm vs my longer one let me put it that way.

You guys can thank me later once you try this. It was because of me that Penon made this thing, and I liked it so much it made sense they made it available for everyone. I tried 3 different types of plugs on the Totem interconnect and the purple palladium plug came out on top easily.
Thanks for this…I got 20cm one but I really like what it brings to the table. Deeper soundstage is noticeable.

Great advice. Adding to it: if you don't like to stick Velcro onto your expensive device or even onto your leather case, wrap wide one-wrap velcro around each of your device, stack them, and then one-wrap them together.
I used the thin 15in Velcro. 1/2in wide One-wrap that fits perfectly around the cased DX320Max Ti and the amp as shown in the photo.

Last month i tried the PB5 on my local headphone store and The PB5 is really blow out of the water of many bigger and pricier amps on the market. the PB5 + Diana MR combo have amazing synergy, The hyper analytical Diana match really well with the lushness and holographic of the PB 5.
For me this setup is a “one and be done with it”.. superb balance of euphonic and analytical sounding, with a very good price to performance ratio (for a summit-fi setup).
i already have the pb5 on my hand and on my way getting the Diana MR. I am planning to pair it with my Hiby RS2 (R2R dap) and this will be my first purchase of summit-fi headphone.. ive already tried many headphone and setup from the stax, Caldera to the high end chord/mola2 dac/amp.. but the diana MR + pb5 combo are the one that made me pull the trigger..

I had this combo in mind but haven't yet pulled the trigger on MR. I did in E3 and it's very well paired. Will see how DZ is from impressions and might pull the trigger on that later.

I also tried the E3 that day and think that is one of the best closed headphone.. priced quite similarly to the MR and cant really go wrong choosing between one of them, but still the MR won me over..

I have been using the Ibasso PB5 Osprey portable amp with my Nan-7 planar and it fully drives that with bass authority as well.

I've been using it chained to my Gustard A22 dac. Such a super slammy combo for planars that need the source-help.

That is why I am so happy camping with PB5 and D16 atm. Yes, digital transport can matter a lot. But this combo can sing out of anything and make it so very satisfying to hear. All the layering, the depth, effortless dynamic, details and textures together with Analog density, liquidity. There is nothing I could ask for more atm.

finally arrived my pb5 and drive it with my 320 max..I can easily hear an easier and softer sound, with a more pronounced 3d image..but reading your review this little monster should be very dynamic..until those first 3 hours IMO the 320 max give a much blacker ground and a greater sense of dynamic and punch.
Is my only impression or this device still need an appropriate burn in?
Heard in low gain, while 320 max low gain and digital volume 100%

Yes, the PB5 needs time to burn in. The capacitors need to form, which changes the ESR of the cap and that improves dynamics and transparency. Other components needs time with current flowing through them as well. It is a journey and one I hope you enjoy. It is why we do this. And thank you for joining with iBasso!

Apart this my question, for my modest audiophile experience,Ibasso team created hands down the best portable (transportable sound) ever heard. The pinpoint images, the analytical technicalities but maintaining a sweet musicality ,managing perfectly all the bass frequencies;a very natural timbre with an amazing puch and majestic dynamic..just this to say..
Wow ibasso,seriously amazing job.
And thanks for your amazing discount for all max owner!

Burn in helped with mine lose it's etch feeling over time. Unless my brain just adapted.

But it was always dynamic for me from the start.

You have said all that I needed to say, and I have been in this hobby for a while, went and gone through a lot of stuff. The stack of PB5/D16 is the best combinations I have had. Even splitting apart, each of the pieces has it own excellences.
