I've had the BorderPatrol for a couple of years and enjoy it. It's unconventional in design yet the sound is superb for the cost, organic and musical. I would not recommend if you want an analytical dac but if you just want get kick back and enjoy the music then this may be for you.
Cheers
Not "head-fi" station exactly, but I recently moved and the new house has an addition on one of the bedrooms that I am now using for my home theater. It's still not complete; I need some more acoustic treatment (the acoustic panels on the left side, for example, are temporary), bass traps, need to paint the roof (although I might not bother with that), and my love seat is on the way, but won't be here until next Friday.
I do have a little head-fi station in there, though.

Yep! LG CX, 55". At the time I wanted the 48" because I thought 55" would be too big for my room, but the 55" was actually cheaper. Now that I've moved, and have a much bigger space, I'm glad I got the 55"! Hell, I even have space for bigger, when the time comes to upgrade.

I straight-up can't go back to standard LCD screens anymore. The perfect blacks of OLED outweigh any brightness advantage of LCDs to me. And in a pitch black room I don't think I'd really like a TV that hits 2000+ nits.
