which dap card would you sat is the warmest sounding the ess akm or rohm thanks
ROHM definitely sounds warmer compared to ESS (which can be quite bright sounding with certain music).
AKM I never tried before so I can't comment on that.

I received Burson V5iD op-amps from Burson and promised to write a review of it (I have no affiliation with Burson and I'm free to write what I feel about V5iD be it good or bad, they just want my honest opinions & reviews). Again, I'm very thankful to them for the trouble of contacting me & sending their product for me to review.
My Xduoo XD05 Pro was installed with Trullis HA8802 (with Ufeel MK8 op-amp buffer) & I had mentioned before it's a warm, tube like sound with some sacrifices on the details but overall a very good sounding.
Burson V5iD op-amps on the other hand are much more transparent sounding without the "warm" colouration of the HA8802, also the details retrieval are very very good. It also have a wider soundstage and a slightly holographic sound. The bass seems to go deeper too (when compared to HA8802).
Overall, I feel for those who have the excellent Xduoo XD05 Pro DAC/amp should really invest in a pair of Burson V5iD op-amps. I can say it should elevate the sound quality at least 30% (my rough estimates) better compared to the stock op-amps to my ears.
My conclusion are it's a good op-amps without much colouration and offers a very clean, transparent sound. The best part is it fits in the XD05 Pro and able to close the lid.

Biggest problem with the Burson V5i-d is the noise floor. It’s higher than all the other op-amps I’ve tested that fits in the XD05Pro.

So far, my iems as listed on my signature does not have noise issues with the Burson V5iD opamps.
What iem are you using that have noise floor issues?

Just managed to read through all the 154 pages, before I got in the last page managed to order 12v DC 3a power supply, SS3602's, 8802's with MK8's and one protective case .... have to say that XD05 Pro is really great as default already, looking forward how much these new OPA's will improve it
