I got this one from KZ's official store on Sho++ee. I have always been partial to single dynamic drivers especially many models in the budget segment turned up in the last few years that are quite good. So I thought there would be some adjustments for me trying an all-ba driven iem in terms of sound. To my surprise, there is nothing in this all-ba driven iem that prevented me from enjoying my music.










These impressions were made using the stock tips that came with the unit, using the stock 3.5mm cable on a Shanling M3X, with a minimal burn-in time of 10 hours since I really don't think that burn-in won't do much due to the physical characteristics of balanced aramature drivers.

Bass/Subbass
At first I thought the bass here is comparative to how low the bass reaches on a Tinhifi T3 plus when I first tried it on low volume. But once I increased volume to my real listening levels (volume 60% on 3.5mm port) and tried bass-heavy tracks, the bass really showed itself. The bass on these go really low, almost reaching basshead levels. The quality of bass is also very good, and very tight. Being used to dynamic driver-driven iems, the only thing I noticed is though the bass goes really low, I haven't felt that visceral sensation of vibration and air pressure in my ear walls that comes with the bass, since these are ba drivers after all, minimal amount of air is moved. I actually kinda liked it as I find it decreased "bass fatigue" if i may call it anything. Overall I'm very satisfied of this thing's bass performance.





Midrange
The midrange has great clarity, probably because of how the treble is tuned as well. There is no problem for male and female voices to stand out and be heard clearly and most importantly, intelligibly. I really can't enjoy music if I can't understand the lyrics as sung by the artist hehe

Treble
Treble is sufficiently bright, albeit relaxed. But is sufficient to enjoy all genres. You can definitely go for long hours listening to your music with the AS16 Pro without experiencing fatigue, as I did with mine. I haven't encountered sibilance even after I played Akina Nakamori's Septiemme Sens, which for me is enough to see if the unit is sibilant.

I am fairly new to this hobby, and would always go for affordable products. This is definitely a keeper!

These are still first impressions only. Very good quality bass with deep rumble, mids not recessed, perfect amount of sizzle in the highs for me, non-sibilant, very natural tone and timbre, both female amd male vocals shine, above average microdetails, above average soundstage and pinpoint imaging in the few tracks I've tested. Will be burning this for 100 hours like the Aria and will try to update this. These are just personal impressions and I am not a pro reviewer. I listened to it using a Shanling M3X in 3.5mm port.
