Quick qn re DI-20HE - how can I tell what the Ext clock input impedance is 75/50ohms etc and does it take square or sine or both? I ask as I tried to use one of my spare ports on the OCK-2 (square + 75ohm I believe) to the DI-20HE but it said FAIL or similar error message when I tried to switch to external. Might have been a cable issue too I guess, only tried briefly with that one.

That one is 10Mhz 50Ohm
This one is 10Mhz 75Ohm
I made the red cross indication: DO NOT USE
Yes it occurred to me after I might’ve accidentally plugged it into the wrong one.. was battling with one of those heavy garden hose like LMR400 cables. Will try again tomorrow. It takes both but native square

For now I’m just about to dial up the Phoenix incl feeding the DI-20HE with it which is what Brett plans to do with it I understand, such decadent overkill but then I’m just envious!

As you would expect, I'm interested in the Phoenix to the DI-20HE.
DI20HE vs INNOUS
Yes, but Phoenix has USB output, DI20HE not.DI20HE vs INNOUS
No worries DAC has USB in.Yes, but Phoenix has USB output, DI20HE not.
I2S/AES/SPDIF vs USB
Even a Master clock can be added

I am personally interested to know how a typical $50 high-speed isolated hub is working with DI-2x. I mean, if I get a hub first, it will be wasted after purchasing DI-24 or not.Yes, but Phoenix has USB output, DI20HE not.
I read from @Jake2 that UIP (which is expensive stuff) is not a replacement for DI-24HE and chaining UIP is beneficial. $50 hub is expected to share the same properties, question is about scale of the improvement.
I've decided to upgrade my streamer.
From a Project Stream Box S2 Ultra, to an Antipodes K21.
A rather large step up.
Will pair with my Innuos Phoenix USB.
I'm planning to then use my modded DI-20HE.
Wondering if that is even necessary with the K21 and Phoenix.

Alternatively you may find your Phoenix is surplus to requirements…I've decided to upgrade my streamer.

Certainly all sounds a formidable combo.
With retirement pending in three years, I'd like to have the big pieces of my system in place.Alternatively you may find your Phoenix is surplus to requirements…

Not many pieces left to go...

You don't really need both. Either one. To connect both, you need a 75ohm out of the Mutec to the di20he rca input. To connect a master clock, you need to get a 75ohm bnc (i think) for the Mutec. For the di20he, you'll need a 50-ohm bnc cable.Hi, i have the DI20HE in use and bought now an used mutec mc3+usb. What is the best Set up here? Di20he into mutec or the other way round?
