The LP team has been working on firmware updates since pre-production of the E7, which was launched during this year’s CanJam NYC. The latest firmware of E7 has made some major demanding improvements.

① Extended Battery Life Up to 90 Minutes

Current battery life is limited due to the E7's uncompromising power supply for maximizing the potential of the dual 4497 DACs. The original firmware resulted in a single-card power consumption of up to 2.5W. With the "Extended Range Firmware," the E7's hidden high-voltage battery potential is further unleashed, increasing the full-charge voltage by about 0.1V and extending battery life by 30-90 minutes (depending on volume level and single-ended/balanced output). The total battery life exceeds 6 hours with balanced output.

② Significant Reduction in Deadlock Situations

Previously, some users reported experiencing deadlocks while using the E7. The E7 adopts the new "LeOS" pure audio operating system with a new interface, aiming to improve usability without compromising sound quality. However, due to occasional file recognition issues and repeated file reads, the system could sometimes enter a deadlock state. Updating to the "Extended Range Firmware" can mitigate this issue. The "乐OS" will also continue to evolve and improve. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

③ Enhanced Sound Quality in LD Mode

Hidden Benefit: For the E7 Fine Selection Edition, the "Extended Range Firmware" unlocks more FPGA resources and enhances the sound quality in LD (Low Distortion) mode. While power consumption increases in this mode, the "big move" of the battery allows for a balanced output battery life of 5-6 hours.
