Luxury & Precision E7: Impressions and Discussions

wonder if there will be r2r card board available in the future
It is a matter of conjecture right now. However, it may not make sense for LP to cannibalise the market for the P6Pros (or its successor models). :)

If you read the FW notes for the latest FW, it is now more than 6 hours. :) And besides, as someone who owns the LP6 Ti AE quipped: people own LP DAPs for their sound quality, not battery life.
Yes ok, but I don't think there is any premium DAP currently having such a limited battery life, and without Wi-Fi for streaming.

3: 30-4: 32 E7 Firmware Upgrade Strategy
4: 33-5: 52 E7 Charging Precautions
Is it possible to share the main points of these two sections? I don't have a weibo account.

It looks like they went for slim design over battery life. Not necessarily complaining though.

No worries. Please see below:

1. Updating FW:
  • Simply unzip the firmware update file and copy it to the SD card. Note that the E7 does not have any internal memory as such.
  • Click on the top left corner of the home screen to access the "settings" option.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the menu and you will see "update/recovery" option. Click on it.
  • Choose the option "firmware update". And select "yes".
  • Update will take about a minute and half. You can tell it is updating by the spaceship animation and progress bar. Once done, the E7 should restart.
  • You can check on the current firmware version under the "settings" option on the home screen.
2. There are two tips here:
  • for any forced shutdown or crash, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds before letting go. Once you press the power button again, the E7 should power up and restart as per normal again.
  • For proper charging of the E7, please only use a USBA to USBC cable. A USB-C to USB-C cable will NOT work for charging the E7.

With any choice of design and choice of functionality and technical capabilities, there will always be trade offs. Have a listen to the E7 without prejudice and preconceptions, and see what you think. :)

Big shout out to @Uncle Wilson and Jaben Singapore! The E7 has landed!

Just sharing some unboxing photos. :) I am sure as the Singapore folks receive their E7s, most impressions will be available.

Congrats! The case doesn't look as bright blue as once shown. Is it closer to the green case they used for LP6/P6 series? Or is it the lighting?

Thanks! I suspect you should be getting yours soon too! Perhaps it is my yellow light. It is the same or similar colour to the leather case for the W4. :)
