An excellent Class A headphone amplifier and DAC from PS audio. This amp will really get your favorite headphones singing.

I have powered the ZMF Eikon, Auteur, Verite Open, and Verite Closed and they all sound fantastic. I also found there to be great synergy with the Hifiman Sundara.

Can swing a huge amount of power and has incredible control, detail, and transparency. A real tank, with an overbuilt power supply and a heavy case, this thing was built to last!

This retailed at $1000.

Comes with original packaging.

See the glowing reviews on 6Moons and HF for more.

In pet free smoke free enviorment. Comes in original box.

I have entered the world of tube amps and so I am moving on from this fantastic amp.

Looking for $400 + Shipping.

Would love to sell locally, I'm in San Francisco.

Absolutely killer amp this - I use mine daily in the office with HD600 and HE560. The DAC section is so-so (Modi 2 is a beeeg step up) but the amp is an absolute beaut that trashes all FOTM amps - you cannot fake the excellent engineering, component selection, and massively oversized power supply. GLWS!

Thanks @ScubadudeSA! I totally agree with your assessment. If I had the space, I would be using the GCHA myself.

You're right that the DAC is fine, but I preferred to use my standalone DAC (Topping D70 and then Bifrost2).

My interest is piqued. Does anyone have the power output specs for this? I see a hand waving "10W" number but that seems rather mad given the chassis size and the Class A claim...

Well, I can’t find the number and I seem to have run into the same 10W number as you on the PS Audio site from their team.
The volume dial uses some proprietary gain cell technology. So perhaps it does get up to super high wattage at the extreme end of the dial. I’ve never got close to the end of the line.
Pardon my certainty, when I was clearly not entitled to it.

They did pick up when I called, and I've forwarded them this post. Mark (on the technical support team) mentioned he'd pass it on to the senior engineers since their archived support documentation only includes the manual and the schematics.

No worries mate - I was extremely skeptical when reading the number as well.

Also, I see some different claims throughout their marketing materials; some mentioning "fully class A", others stating a "class A output stage", and some of them mentioning that it is fully balanced. The last claim especially is somewhat confusing as it only has RCA inputs and what seems to be a single 1/4 inch SE output

The GCHA was built before balanced headphones became a thing, so balanced refers to inputs only. Early models had only RCA, balanced XLR was added later along with power switch, two notable omissions on the first release.
