Brand new only listened for maybe less than 10 hrs total. Very comfortable headphone especially with the new caldera pads. Very good headphone just looking to try other flagship headphones. Ofc cable is 4 pin xlr and stock is 6.3mm.

Quite eclectic mix - rock, R&B, jazz, soul, orchestral, and latin music.
These headphones do vocals really well. I listen to rock and metal mostly and I think guitars sound a bit better on atrium. Acoustic I think is better on caldera. I think anything electronic is better on caldera like edm and pop. I think Latin, soul, and r&b would shine. I’m not sure on orchestral not familiar with it. Rock is great on it and mids are forward enough I think it’s just a bit smooth for my tastes.

Maybe my ears are broken compared to most.
Nah… I love both, and I honestly couldn’t say one is clearly superior to the other. Good for different moods. You like what you like! Also, anyone who likes the Atrium has good taste in my book!

Yeah, both have their place, really just depends on preference… I think the Caldera is really great with orchestra and symphony music as well… it handles fast music really well. I do lean a bit more towards Atrium as an everyday though. But, Caldera is the best technical planar I’ve heard to date, followed by Rad-0 as my favorite engaging planar :)
