This is a listing for a Stax SRM-1 Mark 1 optimized solely for normal bias Stax.
This unit was a pair to my SR-Lambda, however, I scarcely use it. I happen to also own an SR-5NB and the matching SRD-6/SB and have always preferred to drive my Lambda and SR-5 via speaker amplifier. My use of the SRM-1 has mostly consisted of using it once or twice in a six month period, per manufacturer instructions, since it's come into my care. The SRM-1 is in very good condition, yet there are a few tiny nicks in the paint.
The amplifier is perfectly functional. It has a timbre that is somewhat neutral bright with an analog character to the way it delivers sound. Source pairings matter, in my experience, it is best fed by a 1-2V input.
