  1. Knowledge Zenith AS10

    4.00 star(s)
The KZ AS10 Knowledge Zenith (KZ) has been making IEM headphones for a few years now and they seem to be releasing several handfuls of models each year. This latest flagship is a 5 balanced armature per shell earphone that may change many people’s opinion’s that KZ just throws as many drivers as possible into a shell and call it a day. Or perhaps they got lucky with this one, because it’s surprisingly good! Disclaimer: The KZ AS10 was provided to me by Lillian of LinSoul and DD Audio store for review purposes without bias. 2. Massdrop x HIFIMAN Bolt In-Ear Monitors

    2.00 star(s)
Massdrop has had some very strong collaboration products with major industry players over the past few years in the audio arena, so when Massdrop announced their latest collaboration with Hifiman, I was ready to jump on board -- especially at the offering price of $10! This drop actually ended up arriving before the estimated ship date by several weeks, so that was pleasing. I was definitely skeptical about a $10 set of headphones from a company known to sell headphones from $500 to over $10,000. But at the same time, I never heard any of their...
  3. Shozy x AAW Hibiki Mk2

    3.00 star(s)
Shozy x AAW Hibiki Mk2 IEM The Shozy x Advanced AcousticWerkes Hibiki Mk2 is the latest revision to their Hibiki line of IEM earphones. The original was released in 2017, while a newer Special Edition/Limited Edition came out more recently priced at almost double the original. This latest version, the Mk2, takes the driver changes from the Special Edition and puts it in the old housing with a little bit of updated treatment. The plainweave carbon faceplate has a different signature on it. Replaced is the “Hibiki” model name with the updated...
  4. Blue Ever Blue 328R

Here's a quick review of the Blue Ever Blue 328R Ear Bud Introduction: The Blue Ever Blue 328R was featured on Massdrop recently for only $9.99. Being an earbud fan, I quickly stuck in my cart and ordered it. They arrived about a week ago and I've been listening to them since. The BeB 328R features the licensed HDSS technology which I don't fully understand but it. What I do understand is that it supposedly reduces heat and pressure build up in the enclosure allowing for reduced distortion in the music coming out. Build: Its very lightweight...
  5. TinAudio T2

This is a quick review of these budget IEM headphones: I've done quite a bit of buying/selling headphones over the past year or so and have been really honing in on a set of open back headphones, closed back headphones, open IEMs, closed IEMs, and ear buds as my arsenal. Through the course of listening to many different headphones/earphones over a large disparity of prices, I've really come to a good set up right now with the Hifiman HE560, Audeze Sine, Unique Melody ME.1, Yincrow X6, and now the Tin Audio T2. The closed back IEM was the hardest...
  6. Unique Melody ME1

    4.00 star(s)
I have had the ME.1 for a couple months now after previously owning the Audeze iSine 10. I was initially attracted to these because of how much I love the iSine 10. They were a miniature version of a full-sized headphone with some great sounding low end detail and extension and airy sound. They did require a bit of EQ though to make them sound great. Luckily, Audeze provides their Reveal plugin as well as posted their own EQ for the iSine publicly. The one thing I didn't like about them, however, were their unusual shape and size. They were weird...
