Yep, the drivers just refuse to install. I have no idea what's wrong with it. Thanks for the link to the script. I've tried running that script before but it didn't do it for me. I'll give it another try with the init.d script. Thanks again!

Just tried the Google Play version and the same result :( I'm going to try a custom ROM next. Will report back. Thanks for your help!

Are you using a Lollipop based rom? I am on XDA but suggestions there have turned up empty as well. The V4A is from the official thread on XDA.

Looks like I might have to go that route after all. Flashed Imperium kernel and now soft keys don't work. In addition, even with a custom kernel with SELinux set to permissive, the V4A drivers still refuse to install. What a pain...maybe I'll try downgrading to 4.4.4 or a custom rom.

Most custom kernels will have SELinux set to permissive. Imperium Kernel is no exception. I'm just apprehensive about custom kernels as some can negatively affect things like battery life. If a kernel came with a recommendation I'd be more willing to try it out. Guess I'll give Imperium Kernel...

Which version of kitkat are you using? For my phone I'm thinking of using I9505XXUGNJ5, assuming the new bootloader plays nice with kitkat  Initially after flashing to Lollipop I wasn't overly impressed so I restored my 4.2.2 nandroid backup but the new bootloader from flashing to...

Tried both and still no dice. Even tried freezing Knox with Titanium Backup but SELinux mode changer doesn't seem to work. After installing and granting root access, tapping the permissive mode doesn't seem to do anything. getenforce still returns enforcing. Getting desperate here =( Edit:]...

Unfortunately that script didn't do the trick for me. I've confirmed that the device is fully rooted and busybox is installed correctly. Not sure what's wrong. Any suggestions?

Has anyone running stock TW 5.0.1 been able to get V4A to work? I'm having trouble installing the drivers. Can't even seem to set SELinux to permissive. I was forced to upgrade to 5.0.1 and so far it's been nothing but a royal pain.

    Android phones and USB DACs

I don't think many are still using the SGS4 anymore and think even fewer are still running stock 4.2.2 but in any case I would like to report that the ALO International+ (non-optical "android friendly" version) alas does not work natively with my S4 running 4.2.2. :( Works just fine with UAPP...

    Android phones and USB DACs

I've found this to be the case as well. Interesting bit: one time I left the Cozoy Astrapi plugged into my S4 and even though no music as playing, it drained the battery completely in a couple hours.

If it's a micro to micro that you're looking for here's a 10cm on that was recommended to me my someone in this thread. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/301669713346?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I don't think the position of the drivers is of any concern; I think the person assembling the IEM fits them in as good a configuration as they can. Did you have your A12's reshelled?
