HiBy R6 III (Gen 3) Android digital audio player, Dual ES9038Q2M, Class A / AB amplification switch, Snapdragon 665, Open Android 12 OS, DSD512 / PCM768
Ok, I rebooted the device. Then finally managed to update the HiBy app (obviously you have to ignore some security warnings, the device finds its own app suspicious). Then removed the 3rd-party apps. Rebooted again and re-installed the 3rd party apps and had the library re-scanned. Now...- BartSimpson1976

HiBy R6 III (Gen 3) Android digital audio player, Dual ES9038Q2M, Class A / AB amplification switch, Snapdragon 665, Open Android 12 OS, DSD512 / PCM768
Quite happy with my new setup of Hiby R6III paired with Sennheiser IE600. However, I noticed that 3rd party players have issues. Mediamonkey is scanning all files, but cannot play. Neutron doesn't scan the library at all. The HiBy-App says "update available" but cannot update.- BartSimpson1976

iFi audio GO Bar - The Best Pocketable HiFi System, Bar None!
Considering buying a Go bar and an Hiby R2II as source for it. Or would the ifi suck to much juice from the R2II? I don't want to charge every 4 hours....- BartSimpson1976

NocturnaL Audio Custom IEM Discussion and Impressions
thanks, sounds quite impressed. I never heard the Avalon, but was very impressed when I auditioned the Atlantis. I was hoping the Eden would be an slightly more lively Atlantis.- BartSimpson1976

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
regularly doing that (as the tips anyhow always becoem unsightly very fast as the design is a total earwax magnet). Also washing them with warm water and mild soap from time to time. Ok, assume this certain pair has reached is lifespan.... anyhow perhaps thinking of custom eartips. Currently...- BartSimpson1976

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Happens more and more frequently that when taking out the earphones that the tips remain in my earcanals. Given the deep insertion this can be a quite scary situation, especially if it happens when not at home with no tweezers around. Is tat because the eartips getting softer over the time?- BartSimpson1976

Shanling M2x - TIDAL || Wi-Fi || Both-way LDAC BT & BT Transmitter || Advanced USB transport || FW 2.7
ok, so I think I will wait for M3x. Obviously the above really means an M3x is in the making, furthermore I find the announced specs for battery life a bit disappointing. So i wait for M3x then with hopefully Dual DAC, dual card slot, at least 15 hours battery life and 4.4mm balanced. Also...- BartSimpson1976

Shanling M2x - TIDAL || Wi-Fi || Both-way LDAC BT & BT Transmitter || Advanced USB transport || FW 2.7
just one question: Last time I bought the M2s. Happy. Then the M3s was released which i would have bought as Iliked the specs more (balanced, etc). So could the same happen again that I buy a M2x only to find out two months later that a M3x is being released?- BartSimpson1976

very, very interesting. Shanling doesn't disappoint with value for money DAPs. Still liking my old M2s. Any word already about output impedance? No 4.4mm balanced and only one card slot though- BartSimpson1976
