Y'all are a bad influence. I picked up a Matsushita / National PCC88 / 7DJ8 from Upscale Audio. Plugged into my Vali 2+, driving Grado Hemps. Sounds absurdly good. That's my highly erudite opinion... ridiculously good.

Out of curiousity, how many of you are amping your Grados? If so, what is your favorite amp to pair with Grados? I'm finding that, driving with a Schiit Vali 2+, the Grado Hemps are plenty loud. Like I can only turn that volume knob about 1/4 of the way before I am in the ... oh this can't be...

I didn't find a loudness normalization option in the MacOS Tidal client. Very likely that the Grados are just efficient. Might be my ears. Despite the ever present temptation to "crank it", I am trying pretty hard to preserve my hearing. Looking for clarity, depth, soundstage at low volumes...
