Ah ok. This is has been confusing for me in the past since aftermarket sites list the baffle and driver as a capsule. I guess they are just referring to the driver when they do that. Thanks!- equalspeace

Was referring to the capsule or baffle that houses the drivers. See post #6723 for this pictured.. I am continually surprised at the amount of people with a lot of experience in the hobby that do not understand how these 6 series headphones work.- equalspeace

To use the 600 capsule instead of the 650. He said the 650 capsule or baffle as he put it, would provide no benefit, as the 650 and 600S2 capsules are the same. He then rec'd using the 600 capsule, as they are different. I took it a step further and used an old black silk 600 capsule as opposed...- equalspeace

Thank you for clearing this up. I was going to say the bit yesterday about you all not being able to tell difference between a headphone that was disassembled properly and one that wasn't (which is the whole point of a modular headphone lol), but people were so far off the mark in here in terms...- equalspeace

I think if I actually did leave the 650 driver in the 660S2 as Captain Fantastic suggested like a worried Karen, that would def be unethical 😄- equalspeace

This 6 series headphones are completely modular guys. They are meant to be completely disassembled and put back together with absolutely no issues. If one is not all thumbs or drunk this can be accomplished with ease. Maybe I'm a slightly unethical guy then 😄 I answered your question. Read my...- equalspeace

No one is soldering anything dude. That is not at all how the 6 series system works Listen the driver pops out of the capsule housing like you'd remove a battery from a flash light lol- equalspeace

Lemme see if I can help people having a hard time understand.. If the cable is removed from the headphone, is the headphone in the same condition? What about the earpads? Is the headphone any different if either are removed and put back? Lol the answer is no. The drivers are designed to be...- equalspeace

As long as the unit wasn't damaged I wouldn't care. But then I understand the concept of a modular headphone. Returning in like new condition would mean the original drivers were in the headphone, so yes.- equalspeace
