    I'm thinking of replacing my 2x200GB cards with one 400GB card, so it will contain the same number of files. So in theory I should be ok, right?

    Mine did the same a few days ago. Kept pressing the powerbutton for 20 or 30 seconds and then it booted itself.

    You have to be lucky though that the app of your choice will support both SD-cards.
