CD vs Blu-ray player when using external DAC?
Any reason I should chose a dedicated CD player over a Blu-ray player when plugging into a DAC? Schiit Bifrost to be exact.- Nada190

Audio-Technica ATH-A900X: Impressions, Reviews, Mods, etc.
Just got mine yesterday, looooooove it. I don't think I'll ever need to purchase another closed headphone and if I do it'll be another 900x or a step up.- Nada190

Should I buy Japanese version ATH-900X?
It's much cheaper to import it from Japan than to buy one from inside the USA but I won't be covered by any warranties should anything go wrong. Is it worth it to save? Is a warranty for headphones really necessary? I have a few and none of them have had any issues for quite some time.- Nada190

Grado e Series
Anyone have a comparison of the 80e and 325e? I want something even brighter sounding but less harsh. 80e's are a bit harsh sometimes.- Nada190

Gluing fabric to leather pads?
Could I glue some type of fabric like velour or velvet to leather pads so when I put my headphones on, it's the fabric that's touching my head instead of the leather? I hate leather/pleather because of the sweating it causes and just plain uncomfortable. Thinking 3M spray adhesive would...- Nada190

Westone UM PRO Series Thread
I'm interesting in buying one of the UM Pro's but not sure which one. Won't be using them much, maybe twice a week max. Just listening to my music, mostly pop/rock/metal when I'm on the go, classical while walking around is too much work. Looking for one with the most balanced sound, not...- Nada190

Costs too much, just want a amp for when I'm not at home and can listen to music, which is not that often. About how little could I move the volume knob?- Nada190

I want to get this for IEM use only, would this be good? Will be paired with KEF M200 and Shure SE535. I just want something with more power than my smartphone.- Nada190

To AMP or Not to AMP - Driving Headphones in the $150-$300 Range
My KEF M200 benefits from a amp and it's a 16 ohm IEM. Plugging them into my Schiit Asgard 2 vs my phone is quite a noticeable difference with the EXTRA power. So I would think anything would benefit to some degree from a amp, don't forget the DAC too.- Nada190
