Sorry for the late reply. The headphones turned up fine, took a little time but they turned up. Serial number checked out fine. Box was unopened and they were in perfect, unused condition. I've tried to find the same seller again but was unable. Hope you're able to find them.

They called themselves thegreatsound, if I remember correctly. "Feels a bit fishy" is pretty accurate, especially when handing faceless strangers over £1k. The original post was aimed at anyone that hasn't seen the offer or is in two minds about committing. 

If anybody is interested, there is a store on eBay UK selling HD800S for £1069 with free postage. Free postage to the UK at least, I don't know about the rest of the world. The item description states they ship from the UK but they actually ship from Italy and it takes ages, but they have 100%...

Thanks for the advice. Their estimated delivery is on the 11th, if it takes significantly longer then I'll get a refund. I paid with PayPal so it should be straight forward. If they do turn up I'll call Beyerdynamic straight away and confirm they are genuine. Either way, I'll leave a post here...

Thanks for the replies. Their feedback is mostly positive and has a theme of slow delivery plus their email responses where all coming from Australia, so it makes sense I suppose. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Can anybody who got their T1.2 from Temptation Hifi on eBay confirm they are legitimate? At £599 I can't say no as long as they're genuine. They've also offered me HD800S at £170 less than rrp. Great prices but I'm having a hard time trusting them.

I'm just repeating what they told me. I asked them about future amp modules, they said am2 has just been released then they sent this message "as for other amp modules, they are estimated to be released in a few months". That was last thursday.

I spoke to the guys at Fiio 3 days ago about release dates of future amp modules, they could only give me the vague answer of "the next one will be in a few months time".
