Hifiman HE6-SE
Hi guys, Haven't posted in here for years but now I need some help. I'm torned between the HE6SE and SEV2 and have some questions about the difference between the two. Does they really sound different with the same pads? The only reason I'm considering the (slightly) more expensive V1 is...- peter123

Thanks! I've got a balanced cable for them already (possible the same as yours). I was looking for a solution like this that I use with the Fidelio X2s and the Onkyo H900M: I was hoping that you've found a solution :)- peter123

As a Sennheiser lover myself (HD558, 569, 598SE, 58X, 650, 700 and 800S) I'm intrigued by your comment about using the HD5XX series with the 5K. May I ask what connector you use between the headphones and the 5K in this setup, or are you using it with the cable?- peter123

The Qudelix-5K thread
Fwiw I also own the ES100 and BTR3K and I'd take the Qudelix over them both any time. I've never thought of it as bright sounding either. Better resolution and clarity compared to the others yes, bright no. Just my 2c :)- peter123

I believe that the Æeon 2 Noire are identical to the Æeon 2 closed apart from the paint job and pads. There's several impression/post about them in the Æeon 2 closed thread.- peter123

LOL! Can you please advice what amp/dac I should upgrade to from the 30+ ones I've already got in the range $20-1.500 to take advantage of this fairy dust you're talking about? This is a very infected topic, as always when hard facts are inconclusive and the discussion turns subjective from...- peter123

AUDIOSENSE in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
I suggested that the amps signature could be the explanation to the change of frequency response as low oi is very unlikely to be the issue. You than say that an amp should not have an signature, I assumed that was a reaction to my post but never mind. As you live in a world where all amps...- peter123

A) All amps don't sound the same. B) I've never seen any documentation that a lower oi should alter the sound, only higher. Can you please link to some information about how and why lower oi will alter the frequency response.- peter123

Q701 impressions thread
Fwiw it's worth I bought these for my pair: https://www.brainwavzaudio.com/products/gaming-earpads-xl Really like them and sold the K712 after getting these pads on the Qs. It's been so long since I had the original pads on that I don't remember the details in the change of the sound but I...- peter123

I'm pretty sure it's the sound signature of the M0 causing this. There's absolutely no logic in that a lower oi should make the sound more bassy.- peter123
