Simpler is better. Also, gets you closer to Geinrich Altschuler's (who invented TRIZ, the Theory of Inventive Problem-Solving) concept of Ideality. And that is a good thing.- Puma Cat

Yep, I'm going somewhat of a similar route. I'm going to buy a Lumin P-1 (which is integrated streamer, DAC and preamp) and go straight into the back of the P-1's SFP optical transceiver port via optical cable from the music server in the "remote server room" and connect the P-1 to an amp or...- Puma Cat

Alex at UpTone recommends the Teddy Pardo power supply as a replacement/alternative to the LPS-1.2. For reference, both my LPS-1.0 and LPS-1.2 have also failed me. IMHO, the durability/useful life of this power supply is impacted by the amount of heat it generates, especially when running at 9V...- Puma Cat

I think Norton was just playing it safe. I've found the cable on Amazon, also. Thanks for the reply. Cheers.- Puma Cat

Thanks for the recommendation. What is a "SPC" cable? BTW, Norton Safe Web is giving me a possible scam warning for the Effects Audio website:- Puma Cat

I have one I can try, but 1) that would only solve the problem for one channel, and not the other, and 2) given how long the split part of the cable is coming up from the "Y", there's no place to actually attach the clip to the garment with respect to each channel's cable after it the split...- Puma Cat

NEW - Campfire Comet and Atlas
Hi folks, Just got my Campfire Audio Comets this last Wednesday. Really enjoying them so far. The only thing I've noticed is that the supplied cable is fairly microphonic when I'm moving about or walking, specifically from where the cable splits into each channel up to each IEM. So, I'm looking...- Puma Cat

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Jason, if you decide to open another Schiitr, the SF Bay Area would be a logical choice: an appropriately affluent and informed customer base, and a very strong audio community. And, not that far from the corporate Mother Ship.- Puma Cat

Better USB cables, e.g. the Audioquest Diamond and Cofffe make a considerable difference. When I was first started using digital devices, I used some good, but not great USB cables from Kimber (Silver) and Audioquest (Carbon). Originally, I didn't think, that with digital signals, a higher...- Puma Cat
