Focal Clear & LCD-X with Ayre Codex
Thanks - yeah, the Codex sounds sweet to me as a DAC, the amp is what I'm looking to play with. It could be that these HPs are just not for me, but I sense that the Focal could sound awesome with the right amp. To me it sounds like they need more power, which I didn't expect. As a DAC, the Codex...- saveanimals

@Tano @chesebert - Thanks for the help! I never heard the Chord stuff, but it obviously has a huge base of enthusiasts. I will check out that Glite and think about EQ. Cheers & happy new year.- saveanimals

Headphone equivalent to ADS L710/L810
Another question - just a fun question for discussion that's been on my mind for a while - thought maybe some of you would have thoughts. For those of you familiar with the old ADS speakers (710/810/400, etc), what would you say are headphone 'equivalents' to this sound. Whatever you call it -...- saveanimals

Focal Clear & LCD-X with Ayre Codex
Love the sound of the Ayre Codex DAC as a DAC. I know I researched this, but can't remember what I found - would it track with you guys that an amp section like that on the Codex would maybe not be capable enough to bring out the best of either of these 'phones (Focal Clear or LCD-X). I am not...- saveanimals

Audeze LCD-X headphones purchased in 2020 and used only a handful of times. Condition is excellent - conservatively, I would grade them 9/10, but I can't find any evidence of use on them (I used tissue paper to protect the leather elements when testing them). Fantastic sounding, exceptionally...- saveanimals

Aurorus Borealis Headphones - ‘As New’ - condition is mint/excellent - essentially zero trace of use (used tissue paper between myself and fabric to keep these new). Is it possible to use an external hard drive to expand offline storage for Tidal on an iPhone?
You can get external hard drives that work with iPhone for pretty cheap, but I'm not sure whether or not they could be used to expand Tidal offline storage or not. Has anyone tried or accomplished this? Thanks- saveanimals

What do you do with tips on Amazon (or other) returns of IEMs?
I feel sort of weird just sticking them in the package, but don't think I should throw them out and not return them either.- saveanimals

If you were given both, and could only keep one, would you keep the Blon BL-03 or Fiio FD1?
Short simple question for those who have heard both.- saveanimals

Best build quality among Chinese brands?
So I have the Final e3000s - sound fantastic, but haven’t gotten that much use and they are distorting, crackling, etc. $30 so whatever, but it doesn’t make me want to invest in $500 buds from them. Which brand do you think has the best standard of build quality, from low end to high models?- saveanimals
