Another question - just a fun question for discussion that's been on my mind for a while - thought maybe some of you would have thoughts. For those of you familiar with the old ADS speakers (710/810/400, etc), what would you say are headphone 'equivalents' to this sound. Whatever you call it - that super well-rounded punchy yet clear sound, likely not up to the caliber of today's speakers in terms of ability to reveal, etc, yet still so satisfying. Anything come to mind? If you had to pick a set of headphones (or a few candidates) you've heard that come closest to this sound, what would you pick?
I also had this question with regard to the old KLH speakers from the 60s. Great speakers surpassed in many areas by many others, many decades ago. Yet still exhibiting a quality of pleasant listening I doubt many would disagree with. So if you want to carry the conversation further, what headphone would you compare to those?
